Indirect Metrics

Indirect metrics are performance indicators that measure the effects or outcomes of a system or process, rather than directly measuring the system itself. They are used in software development, data analysis, and business intelligence to infer performance, quality, or user behavior when direct measurement is impractical or impossible. Examples include using page load times to infer user satisfaction or using code churn to estimate software stability.
